A FAMILY SAYING BECOMES A MOTTO…
Before Mary founded the company, “living big” was her way of life. Growing up, whenever Mary was about to embark on something new, her mom would say, “just make sure you're 'living big!” As in, be your authentic self, follow your inner wishes, and stay open to inspiration. It was a way to give meaning and direction to everyday life. Later, it became a “north star” for Mary in a time of transition.

Years ago, Mary was quickly moving up the ranks in corporate marketing. She was growing and progressing, but there was something missing. Then, when Mary’s mom suddenly suffered a massive brain aneurysm, Mary quickly saw things in perspective. She realized she was not living as fully as she could. So what did it mean for her to “live big”?

After her mom recovered, Mary quit her job, embarking on a five-month European trip, keeping a blog as she went. She not only experienced new adventures, but her readers found inspiration in her travels too. Mary came home and started Living Big Travel, leading people around the world on hosted adventures. We have a hunch that given the opportunity to experience something meaningful, you discover a way to “live big” in the rest of your everyday life.

Since we started, we’ve personally traveled to over 30 countries. We’ve helped hundreds of women, couples, families, and groups bring to life adventures that otherwise may not happen. With each trip and each client, we’ve grown more amazed and inspired by the natural beauty of our planet and the common spirit of humanity within us all. “Living Big” is not just a company, it’s a mantra we use to help you create and celebrate your own definition of what it means for you.
